How much fear mortality puts into the hearts of men and women. Hebrews speaks of us all as being those ‘who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage’ (Hebrews 2:15). When Christ rose from the dead, he did not receive a mortal body again. Death was behind him forever. ‘Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him’ (Romans 6:9). What liberty the saint will know when they receive bodies which they understand intuitively can never die again. Christ gives life to soul and body, and that life will never be taken away again.
