None of us should be gossips or doom mongers, but we should be those who refresh one another's spirits. How do you do that? Well it must come from the pulpit, and it must come in our fellowship one with another. We are active together to increase our sense of God, our sense of his presence. Every evidence of his power: we narrate it, and we refresh our spirits. And we proclaim the depths of grace, the wonders of grace and of Christ. And the sharing of God's plans from his words, and the sharing of testimonies, and trophies of grace – things that God has done. These things lift us up and refresh our spirits. The apostle needed his spirit refreshed; the people needed their spirits refreshed. Value those who lead the way in refreshing our spirits; it is a vital role, and a duty of us all.
