1 Corinthians 6:8

This was why there was utterly a fault among them. Instead of allowing themselves to be wronged, and bearing it patiently, in the confidence that God would bring justice in his own time, they were doing the opposite. They were the ones who were doing the wrong, and defrauding other, and they were even doing such things to fellow believers. They should not be behaving this way to anyone, let alone to one who they hoped to share an inheritance with in heaven. So these first verses in the chapter are not so detached from the point, the big point, the apostle will soon make, about the freedom heresy. There is a connection between these people who are very freewheeling with going to court against each other, and those who believe in the freedom heresy.
