1 Corinthians 8:12

Expressing it this seriously is a warning to the strong. This is not just a matter of misuse of knowledge, and setting an unhelpful example. This is sin against Christ. He knows the state of each of his children. He handles each one with infinite care, and he knows the great importance of the conscience. He loves and cherishes each child of God, and he does not love one who has more knowledge above another who has less knowledge. He is in the process of bringing many sons and daughters to glory, and he nurtures the lambs in his arms, as well as feeding his sheep. He expects those who are more mature in the faith to have the same concern for all that he has, and so they must be careful with the knowledge he gives them. Knowledge must not be allowed to go to their heads but must be handled in the context of love which knows better than pure knowledge how to act.
