1 Corinthians 9:2

He means more than, ‘Your conversion proves that I am an apostle.’ He means this: ‘Your testimony as a church will prove that I am an apostle.’ How come? Because he had worked among them the signs of an apostle. He tells us so later on in his second epistle to Corinth. Signs and wonders that only the apostles could do had been carried out by the apostle Paul among them. So their testimony as a church would be, ‘He is undoubtedly not just a minister, a preacher, a pastor; but he, specifically, is an apostle.’ So the apostle reminds them of these things.
