Here is an amazing statement. ‘We were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls.’ Of course you cannot impart your soul. When the apostle uses this word he means to say – we would have imparted our own selves, our very selves to you if it would have helped. ‘Because ye were dear unto us’, we longed for your souls.
