1 Thessalonians 5:2
Comments
It is not that Christ is intended to be described in any way as a thief in the night. He is the very opposite of a thief. All things were made by him and all things are rightly his. He is the Lord and the owner of all things who comes to possess and retrieve his own and to exercise judgement. But the manner of his coming will be unexpected and secret. This does not even indicate that he will come at night. He will come as a thief in the night, unexpectedly.
