We are not over-stretching ourselves in claiming this apostolic authority over you, as though the lane God has given us to run in did not extend as far as you, says Paul. Indeed, it was through us that you first heard the gospel. God sent us into Achaia and to Corinth in particular, and it was through our preaching that you came to salvation. It is not us who are out of lane but the false teachers.
