2 Corinthians 10:15
Comments
We are careful not to boast of things outside of our calling. We are not like the Judaisers do not themselves win anyone for Christ, but who dishonestly intrude into other men’s labours, and then want to take credit for it. We are not interested in being able to go home to the sending church and say, ‘Look what we have done.’ Our hope is rather that as the result of your conversion, you in turn will witness to others and the Gentile mission will reach even further. So the apostle’s great prayer is that the Corinthians will in turn win others also, and enable the apostle to break new ground in the preaching of the gospel and to go to areas where the gospel has not yet been preached. This was his great desire and not to encroach on somebody else’s labours.
