‘As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall [take away from me this claim].’ The word ‘boasting’ does not sit well with us today. Paul never boasted. ‘No man shall take away my claim’ would be a better way of saying it ‘in the regions of Achaia.’ In this region I am able to claim I have never taken a penny from anybody and none of these false teachers will be able to challenge that claim. They will not find a single church where I have taken anything.
