The second principle is that he has not only been set aside by his church, but other churches have been asked as well. So, as this is something on behalf of all the churches, they have taken the trouble to consult more than just his home church. Will this brother and that brother be acceptable to you? These then are men who are absolutely trusted and so they have been appointed. So you get an insight into the early church and how it operated.
