Colossians 4:13 Commentary and Bible Study

There is the apostolic attestation in verse 13: ‘I bear him record …’ a very solemn few words. It is almost like an oath. ‘I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.’ He prayed like this for three churches at once, constantly. Now we have our local church and our circle of people who we know well and do we labour in prayer – fellow people in the office, at business? We can’t rise to the level of these apostolic helpers but we should be reflected in them or they in us – Epaphras, the interceder.
