Daniel 11:1

The Lord is still speaking. The first verse of chapter 11 is a continuation of Jeremiah 10:21: ‘There is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince. Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.’ So it was Christ who enabled the archangel Michael to do his work on behalf of the believers, the captive Jews in Babylon. Darius otherwise would have opposed them, but he became very sympathetic towards them, hence the Cyrus edict was issued, and you discover that it was the work of an angel, to whom this task was deputed, with Christ standing behind him. So the same vision runs into chapter 11, and continues from verse 2.
