As individuals have we experienced this peace, our debts paid by our Saviour? We now relate to him, know him. This peace is solid, abiding, calm, trust. Here is the test: something gives rise to anxiety or a panicky reaction, and we lose our peace and become snappy or hostile. You have had a setback but it should not make you change. You need to ride through the aggravation. May you have kinship and harmony in your relations with each other. May there be mutual respect, and affection, a mutual sense of need. If I don’t see that I need other believers, I must have become proud. Peace and harmony mean enjoyment of each other. Love has to be exercised and expressed towards wife, towards husband, otherwise if it is not expressed it will wither.
