Ezra 2:68

It is evident that they returned with considerable wealth from Babylon which they must have acquired while there were there, as they had been taken as prisoners from Jerusalem 70 years before. We see that God blesses his people even in times of oppression.
Application
God expects his people to give in proportion to what they have, and those who have more should give more. It is a privilege to be able to give of our means to the Lord’s cause because that money is invested in heaven.
