The leaders went on the same platform as anti-evangelical bishops. It is Satan’s great objective to ruin Zion. How? By trying to pollute the teaching of doctrine by infiltrating, and bringing in as many godless people as he can, and so spreading confusion. But also by changing the standard that is considered acceptable – and bringing the churches to start merging with the world.
Ezra was astonied, appalled. This is a necessary pastoral approach to problems. We must be appalled at evil and the consequences of evil. We must take it seriously, feel deeply about it.
