So beauty begins to appear: vegetation, grasses, herbs, trees, according to their kind. There are families of them. Verse 12, ‘The earth brought forth grass...and God saw that it was good.’ And all these things were produced in their mature state, they were fully grown; they evidently have an apparent age. Perhaps if you had cut a tree down on the first day you would have found it would have rings as though it had been there a long time. Everything created in maturity.
