Now the land masses are created, and perhaps the continents and islands. How much they resembled the land configurations that we have today, we don’t know. Much was changed in the great upheaval of the flood and afterward. But anyway, the earth was made and it was beautiful and I am sure there would have been hills and valleys, and great variety, and the seas which all ultimately joined together. And so now the environment is being modelled. There is the light, there is the darkness, there is the firmament, the atmosphere, and now everything is configured so that there is a shapely land with great variation. We visit some parts of the country and of the world where there are huge flat areas. Then we get to those parts where there are hills and valleys and all kinds of contrast. God is forming these things, stage by stage, making something exceptionally beautiful for the inhabitation of man ultimately.
