The princes saw her, commended her to Pharaoh, and she was taken to Pharaoh's house and Abram's life was spared. Pharoah paid well – livestock, men and women servants.
Application
Surely, no gift was ever less welcome, for Pharoah’s generosity reminded him of his deception, and failure to protect his own wife, in spite of God promise which was sufficient for his need. How often we can think that we have faith, but when the moment comes, the faith, which we thought we had, evaporates, and the help of God seems further away than it should do.
