This section teaches about the whole problem of favouritism, family favouritism, and favouritism generally, and lacking impartiality. One of Satan's oft-used wiles against churches is to divide them or to hurt them because some much admired and appreciated and highly regarded person falls, and the discipline of that person is not really possible because so many people support that person. What a tragedy when that happens in a church! There are churches that split because people couldn't separate the affection they felt towards someone and the bond they had with that person, and the wrong that that person had done. We find something very similar here in this chapter.
