There is a danger that even when we are certain of what is the will of God, we may proceed in the wrong way. Rebekah was not excused of deception just because the oracle of God was in line with the general direction of her plan. She was responsible for the methods she chose to use. The will of God does more than prescribe the general direction of our lives. It addresses the details of each step that we may take. Attention to detail may hold us back from what appears to be a very straightforward decision.
