Genesis 5:25

Methuselah begat Lamech, whose name means powerful, and who of course is different from the murderous Lamech, the descendant of Cain, found in Genesis 4:18. Unlike that Lamech who was powerful to take life contrary to God’s commandment, this Lamech was powerful in the things of God.
Application
We see that godliness was running in families as God blessed the children of God-fearing parents who brought up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. He rewarded those parents with the salvation of their children as the truth of God worked in their hearts, for conversion to God has always been a supernatural change in the life.
