We need to draw a very thick line under verse 21 and before verse 22. ‘And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father's house it.
Certainly, Joseph had never immersed himself entirely in the life of Egypt. He was always an Israelite. He was always a member of the household of God, and so should we be. Are you prospered? Have you got a very good job, a good income? Don’t get entirely carried away. Don't be drawn, as the worldlings are, to revelling in that, living at the highest opportunities of your income. Always a child of God, the promises of God, and the cause of Christ, and living for him, come first. I think you see this in Joseph and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years.
