‘So consider’, he says. ‘You have sown the seed, and I can assure you from the Lord, that the crop will be great.’ They are made to wait for the blessing. The blessing didn’t just rain down from heaven immediately. They started to build and they sowed the seed; they were still hungry; they were still short; faith wavered, and so Haggai says to them, ‘Even though there are many things to be improved on, you have started, so what you have sown will yield abundantly. Just wait for it, and you will be fully provided for. This year's reaping is going to be tremendous. It is a turning point.’ Get it right, says the Lord, and I will bless you; then things will change.
