You cannot restore the world. You cannot accomplish anything in this world which will last. You cannot redeem anything for God from this fallen world’s culture. You cannot put roots down here and enjoy its things. People try today. It is very sad that there are people who think they are Christians, and they depend for their lift on the internet and the world’s things being relayed to them all the time. Their heads are in the world and then they write their blogs and tweet each other and so on. They discuss endlessly which band, which group, which worldly music, which style is preferred. They are up to their necks in the world. I doubt very much if they are really saved. They may say they are, but they don't have the instincts of a believer and that is very sad. We have got to get this across. It is possible that some are genuinely saved people who get ensnared in that type of lifestyle; it is as though their life is saying, ‘I cannot wait to get back into the world. I love the things that are to do with this world and its culture and its entertainment and its tastes.’ That is tragic.
