Elihu gives Job an opportunity to respond to what he says, though in fact Job never takes this opportunity. Job must know that he is not being tricked or forced to accept a point of view, but that he remains free.
In all that we do it is good to remember the position that God has placed us in. We are here only for a brief time and then pass from the scene. We are as the grass that withers and its flower fades, and we lack the power even to preserve our own life. Were it not for the fact that God teaches us and tells us things that we did not know, all our knowledge would be unreliable and we would remain in darkness. Therefore we should always speak with modesty.
