In this chapter Elihu gives wonderful illustrations. He explains he will use human illustrations but the truth will be from God.
Who is the one that is perfect who is with Job? This could refer to the Lord, but that would hardly need to be said, for Job knew that God was always with him and did not doubt the perfection of his knowledge. It seems rather to refer to Elihu himself, and that the word ‘perfect’ must be understood in the sense of mature, complete, sound. Elihu speaks as one who, by the help of God, has sufficient knowledge to address this difficult situation and to shed light on it.
