Even the features on the underside of Leviathan’s body are described. Observe him: he is able to live on slippery banks; he is always mobile.
Leviathan is adapted to moving in the mire, and in all our crises we can still walk as believers by God’s help. We are never to be bogged down in our objectives, no matter how hard, how difficult our circumstances. Sorrows should be turned into joys. What would be a terrible situation to others, Leviathan glides over. All kinds of things can get us down: tragedies, heartaches, disappointments. We may not be blissfully happy, but we should be a lot better than the unbeliever when facing these things.
The mature believer should have an influence on all around him. His words edify; his conduct is an example; he makes a difference in office among God’s people. He is courteous, patient, godly, always ready to serve God’s people and to be of help to them.
