Here is the evidence of faith. ‘He first’, after this long session with Christ, ‘He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias.
But he is so concerned for his brother Peter, he is so certain, he has never had a realisation like this in his life – We have found the Messiah. Because this is so important to him, they found the Saviour of the world, he must share it. That is the evidence of faith. If you truly find Christ, you need to share him. What a tragedy that within a short time we tend to lose this concern to make him known, this concern that others must know. But it is one of the great signs of new faith, newly discovered faith in Christ. ‘We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.’
