John 10:27 Commentary and Bible Study

These are wonderful words. You hear the doctrine of salvation, and you understand it and you feel your need. You hear the call of Christ. The Saviour of the world has come down from heaven to earth to suffer and die for me, and now he calls me from my sin and my worldliness and my waywardness. He calls me to himself to live with him and for him. ‘And I know them.’ He sets his attention upon his own, his love upon them, and makes himself theirs and makes them his. They follow him away from the world, and they follow the voice of Christ in the Scripture.
