Comments
Put me to the test, he says. Judge me by my words, my life, my miracles. ‘If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, [and he did] though ye believe not me, [you do not want to believe me] believe the works.’ Be persuaded by them. ‘That ye may [then] know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.’ But they still would not listen, even though the Son of God condescends to spread his hands and reason with them once and again: first argument, second argument.
