His great statement that he was going to suffer, and to die, and that he had come for this hour, that was about to take place, and this prayer for the Father to glory his name, through whatever happened, was endorsed by this divine voice. And even if the unbelievers didn’t understand the words, they knew that something dramatic was authenticating what Christ had said. So, it was a help to them, to believe, and to exercise faith. God gives these helps even when people won’t believe, so great is his patience, and his kindness.
