John 12:37
Comments
John describes the tragic hardening of the people. ‘But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him.’ There were exceptions; the apostle John comes to that, but the majority ‘believed not him’. There would be many thousands of conversions on the day of Pentecost and in the period following, possibly tens of thousands in the end, but nevertheless the majority ‘believed not on him’.
