Interestingly it is the first utterance of the disciples since that of Judas (not Iscariot) asking a very similar question in chapter 14.22. Which is right, that we shall see him or that we shan’t see him, and when shall this happen? They do not ask Christ. They want to, but they do not. What is this little while? How are we going to see him? All these kind of questions are there. Before they asked him anything, he spoke to them, revealing again, demonstrating his knowledge of their thoughts and the questions between them.
