You believe in Christ. You give your soul to him, your life to him. You trust in him and lean on him and what he has done. You believe it with all your heart and repent and call upon him, almost before you know it your faith will be rewarded by wonderful experience, the conscious experience of new birth and light and understanding.
In any hardship, difficulty, tragic experience of life – you trust him and pray to him and almost before you know it your faith will be rewarded with blessing and help and light and understanding. That is what you see going on here. They are a marvellous little band, those earnest believers who really believed, were present at the cross and prepared the tomb. And what they did is a tremendous encouragement to us to prove him also by faith.
