Christ now goes from Cana in Galilee down to Capernaum on the north edge of the Sea of Galilee, but they do not spend long there because the real objective is to go to Jerusalem, but the mention of Capernaum by name suggests that this is to be his new centre of operation while in Galilee. He is accompanied by his mother, and brothers, and disciples, but there is no word of Joseph, who was evidently no longer alive.
