Comments
The effect of this upon John was that he saw, and believed. Oh, he is raised from the dead. He is as he said – ‘I am the resurrection and the life.’ And he was overwhelmed and he was amazed and probably rather ashamed too that he hadn’t expected it and he wasn’t ready for it. So there is the gentle intimation. John believes – he has risen from the dead.
