John 3:24 Commentary and Bible Study

This is just a word of explanation. It is interesting to see that John, the evangelist, the writer of this gospel, assumes that his readers will be familiar with Matthew, Mark and Luke, and so every now and then there is a little comment which clarifies things, lest what he is saying should cause any confusion – and this is an example: ‘John was not yet cast into prison’.
