[Those two extra precious days brought eternal life to many in Sychar. They acted on the woman’s testimony, and came in great numbers to see Christ for themselves. What they found confirmed all that she had said about him: this was indeed the Messiah, the Christ, the anointed one whom their Scriptures had led them to expect. He was the Saviour of the world, a Saviour therefore to them also even though they were not Israelites. Her testimony about him was true and they were glad to tell her so, for the gracious words of life that they had had heard from him had led to their own personal experience of salvation through repentance and faith.]
