Unbelief is deep routed in the human heart. It is quite impossible to believe the truth if we love the praise of men more than the praise of God. This hunting after human praise blinds us because it makes us value what proud men admire which is the opposite of what God admires. An addiction to human praise is a barrier that stops many entering into the kingdom of heaven. Unbelievers may argue with Christ, but on the last day each one will be proved guilty when he judges them.
