We have seen the carnal following of Christ by the crowd. Make sure you do not follow Christ for carnal reasons. Even in Reformed, conservative, evangelical circles, there are some people following Christ for carnal reasons. They love the doctrine and we should, but that is all they love. Reformed doctrine explains God, the world, human nature, the pattern of human behaviour, God’s perfection scheme of salvation in Christ. There are people who love it and revel in it, but they are not living separately from the world. They are not really living for him. They do not seem to know a lot about salvation, and godly living, and serving him, and putting him first.
