Comments
They meant the Christ, the Prophet prophesised by Moses. God would raise up a Prophet in many ways like Moses himself. Others said, more plainly, this is the Christ. But some said (the old problem), ‘Shall Christ come out of Galilee?’ They did not know and they did not ask; they probably did not want to know that actually he was born in Bethlehem.
