John 7:8
Comments
He repeats that his time is not yet come, and therefore he will not yet go up to the feast. In this verse he uses the word ‘fulfilled’ or ‘fully come’. This implies that he is conscious of his Father’s timetable, and that there will be a time in the future when he will present himself to Jerusalem as its King when his time will have been fulfilled. He then stayed in Galilee and evidently his brothers leave for Jerusalem without him, not understanding his meaning at this time, though later they would understand.
