He still does not understand he has been healed by the Messiah himself. The word ‘again’ is repeated often in this passage. The Pharisees were out to achieve two things: they were gathering evidence with which to arrest and try Christ, and of course they were also gathering evidence to condemn this man and excommunicate him from synagogue life. But he says boldly ‘He is a Prophet.’ He doesn’t yet realise that he is Messiah, but he goes as far as he understands; Christ is a Prophet.
