‘There is nothing covered.’ This is the reason why the Pharisees and their doctrine will not stand, and why therefore no one should receive it, and all should beware of it. It is of the darkness, and the darkness is not going to last indefinitely. The power of evil has been given a limited lifespan by the Lord, sufficient to achieve his purposes, for, while remaining utterly opposed to it, he uses even evil to bring about his ends. But for the moment, hypocrisy takes advantage of the darkness to cover itself, to hide from the light. It is covered by a mask of deceit and pretence, and it hopes to operate where none can see its evil workings. Do not align with it, for its day of account is coming, and how terrible it will be for it when that day comes. That will be the ultimate downfall of evil; that will be the stripping bare of the deception which it has relied on for so long. God’s light will flood in, and there will be no corner left for darkness to hide. Darkness is an entity that exists in shadowy form, with a ruler, and troops loyal to that ruler. It has strategies and a plan, and it is active to expand its territories. But God allows it to progress so far, and no further. The long war between God and Satan will come to an end, and then all Satan’s kingdom will collapse and no part will survive. Who would align themselves with that? Who would willingly be on the losing side?
