Sometimes death comes through the hand of another man, but sometimes it is the Lord alone who takes life, as with this tower. ‘Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them.
Many people will not be ready for death, not having given their lives to the Lord. Those who died in Siloam could not escape, and neither will you. Strength did not help them. All you have done in life won’t help. ‘I have designed strong buildings; I have made a stamp on society.’ None of that will help you in that final
hour. We pray for all to be touched by natural disasters, but the Lord says, ‘Look to yourselves. Don’t let the time pass and you fail to repent.’
