We see the pace of Mark’s narrative. There is no delay in passing from one thing to another. Christ’s fame is spreading as a result of this casting out of the demon, and this will prepare the way for the Galilean ministry and will explain the response of the people and the huge crowds that assembled to hear him. Nothing like this had been seen before, and even those who did not trust in him for salvation, wanted to pass on the news about this miracle worker.
