You pray and you mean it and the old life dies even as you pray and Christ accepts you and undertakes for you and raises you up. You have never been so self-controlled and happy. You love your Bible and pray and call on the Lord. That sin that ruled your life has not one hundred percent gone, but sin that used to be your friend is now your enemy. It used to control you, but you can defeat it now. It does not have mastery over you that it once had. You can understand the wonder of conversion to Christ. Will you lapse back into the old life? Well momentarily perhaps, but God will not leave you in that condition. He will persevere you to the end. This healing is a parallel, a demonstration of conversion to Christ. Seek him. Pray humbly to him. Trust in Christ. He is soon to go to Calvary where he will die for his people.
