Scripture now tells us how it was the birth of Jesus Christ was not like any other birth, but was unique because of the uniqueness of his person having two distinct natures. No other human being has come into the world as he did, and his conception was entirely supernatural.
There are times when our only consolation comes from the Lord, and from the testimony of conscience within us. Under such circumstances we may be unable to do anything to remove our trial and must simply submit the matter to God in prayer. This trial may be in no way a discipline or punishment, but may be to teach us greater dependence, greater patience, and adherence to the truth regardless of the opinions of other people. Our proper response is not to be angry or resentful, but to continue to walk calmly, humbly before God and man, trusting in the vindication of the Lord in due time.
