The Day of Judgment is coming, and it will take account of all that has happened in this life. God forgets nothing.
There are degrees of punishment in hell, and that punishment will be more tolerable for some than for others. Christ is quite clear that human wickedness is measured, among other things, by how much light we sin against, by how much knowledge we have. The reason for this is that light takes away excuse. God is pleased to leave some in relative darkness. They will still be judged according to their light, but others know far more. The people of Galilee were utterly without excuse if they rejected the message of the apostles, for the miracles which they did left the people in no doubt that God had visited them.
